World Economic Forum Names Gene Editing Company a Technology Pioneer

The World Economic Forum included Inari, a Massachusetts-based seed company, to its list of 2019 Technology Pioneers. Inari uses advanced data analytics software and gene editing to develop seeds that require fewer inputs.

“We are honored and excited to be acknowledged by the Forum,” Inari CEO Ponsi Trivisvavet said in the release. “The pioneer award is recognition that our technology is seen not only as a game-changer for our industry, but as a way to improve the lives of millions as we work to feed a growing population in the face of environmental concerns. On behalf of the entire Inari team, we look forward to contributing to the Forum’s ongoing discussions about this challenge.”

Previous Technology Pioneers include Airbnb, Google, Spotify and Twitter.
